How to Play 2048

Winning Strategy Tips

• Pick a corner and stick with it - Keep your highest tile in one corner and build around it
• Build in one direction - Focus on moving tiles primarily in two directions (like up and right)
• Keep high tiles together - Don't scatter your largest tiles across the grid
• Fill rows/columns systematically - Try to keep one row or column full of descending values
• Plan ahead - Think about where new tiles will appear and how they'll affect your strategy
• Avoid random moves - Every move should be intentional and part of your strategy
• Don't chase merges - Sometimes it's better to position tiles even if you can't merge immediately

Advanced Tips

• Snake pattern - Arrange tiles in a descending snake pattern (e.g., 512-256-128-64 in top row, 32-16-8-4 in second row)
• Never move your largest tile - Once you place your highest tile in a corner, try never to move it
• Create merge chains - Set up sequences where one merge triggers several others
